Prof. Ziegler opens the 2023 STUVA conference 

From November 8 to 10, 2023, the conference of the "Studiengesellschaft für Tunnel und Verkehrsanlagen" (STUVA) took place in Munich. The conference set a new attendance record with over 2,300 registered visitors from 26 countries. The accompanying trade exhibition (STUVA-Expo) in Munich featured a total of 192 exhibitors presenting their products and services on an area of more than 3,350 m².

The event, which focuses on the discussion of current projects and the latest developments in the field of underground construction and the operation of tunnels, was officially opened by STUVA Chairman Prof. Dr.-Ing. Martin Ziegler, followed by a welcoming address from Ingo Wortmann, Chairman of the Management Board of Münchener Verkehrsgesellschaft (MVG). It should also be mentioned that ITA President Prof. Arnold Dix gave the subsequent opening lecture, in which he impressively demonstrated the potential of underground mining as a key element for sustainable development.
